St.Kuzma refloat

Cargo vessel St. Kuzma ran aground due to sudden sea intrusion but with big effort of Lokrum firefighters and Emergensea base Dubrovnik vessel refloated in a short time. After a full day rescue operation of lifting the dregde, extracting of 40tones of sand and pumping out saltwater finished at about 7pm, the sand carrier St. Kuzma was towed to Rijeka Dubrovačka at 9pm. Remider, today 04.05.2015 at about 12.30am transporting sand to Kalamota, the vessel St Kuzma ran aground near the shore due to sea intrusion. The intervention teams of Dubrovnik and Koločep firefighters and Emergensea net for help at sea were running the rescue operation. The holes on the hull of the vessel were succesfully repaired so pumping out ran smootly but still it lasted till the evening hours. Around 9pm the vessel was in manouvering condition brought to secure berth.
