TP 52 Super Series

TP 52 - Elite sailing in Croatia

It is a top event in the world of sailing, where 13 crews will perform on unique sail boats, which in the world of sailing are also called Formula 1. Elite closed-type sailing, One Design sailing without precedent, the performances of which can only be seen in fashionable nautical centers and cities, has arrived in Šibenik and Zadar.

Šibenik and Zadar on the world regatta map

These days, Šibenik and Zadar are becoming centers on the world nautical map. Two marinas owned by Dogus Group, D-Marin Mandalina and D-Marin Dalmacija, were chosen to host one of the most prestigious regattas in the world under the name TP52 SUPER SERIES, which until now were held exclusively at elite world destinations. On this occasion, some of the world's best sailors, such as Sir Ben Ainslie and Robert Scheidt and Santiago Lange, will come to Croatia.
About 500 participants (including logistics) from more than 20 countries come to the regattas in Croatia. The 13 teams that will sail in Šibenik and Zadar include a large number of current and former Olympic champions, as well as winners of the most important world regattas such as the America's Cup and the Volvo Ocean Race. The TP52 sailboats are operated by sailboat owners who are recognized high-caliber businessmen and, in addition, passionate sailors.

Statement by Burak Baykan, CEO of D-Marine Group

"This is the most significant nautical event of the year, which brings to Croatia, in addition to top athletes, recognized people from the business world. We are very proud and happy that D-Marin was given the unique opportunity to host such an important sports and tourism event. We believe that this is a strong tourist promotion for Croatia, but also for Šibenik and Zadar".

Organization of the regatta field

The organization of the regatta field will be done by JK Val in Šibenik, and in Zadar it is entrusted to JK Uskok. The EmergenSea network with its 5 S&R dinghies entered this magnificent event in order to secure the regatta field from the intrusion of various ships, boats and other curious people and possibly replace the large dinghies that service the teams during the regatta.
The regatta in D-Marin Mandalina started on May 23, and in D-Marin Dalmacija on June 20. It lasted from Wednesday to Sunday.
