Recognition for a

"Notable Rescue Operation"

    The EmergenSea Team received the prestigious national award "Notable Rescue Operation," granted by the State Directorate for Protection and Rescue (DUZS). This award honors the incredible bravery of two of our members, Tomislav Margaretić and Toni Knego, who, in the face of a powerful storm, rescued five kayakers stranded on the dangerous cliffs of the island of Koločep.

The extraordinary rescue mission

    In this extraordinary rescue mission, significant support came from the crew of the ship Danče, belonging to the Dubrovnik Port Authority. Thanks to the courage and quick response of all participants, the lives of five kayakers were saved in one of the most challenging maritime situations.

Tomislav and Toni, supported by the EmergenSea network, were nominated for the "Notable Rescue Operation" and the "Blue Ribbon of Vjesnik" awards. Our heroes, along with the EmergenSea network, deservedly won the award for "Notable Rescue Operation."
